During the month of April, with nearly 55,000 people in attendance at their annual Palm Beach auction, Barrett-Jackson raked in more than $21 million in gross sales and $1.8 million in charity. Barrett-Jackson was founded in 1971 by classic car enthusiasts Nellie Jackson, her husband Russ Jackson and Co-Founder Tom Barrett. Since the first auction in its founding year, Barrett Jackson has grown leaps and bounds. Currently under the leadership of Jackson’s son Craig Jackson, the chairman/chief executive officer, the auction has expanded to the Palm Beach, Las Vegas and Reno-Tahoe areas.
