When you first think of handing your car over to someone else, you may hark back to the Ferrari in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” The garage workers assured Cameron and Ferris the car would be safe, but two minutes later they were jetting off for a joy ride in the city.
Not. Cool.
Thankfully, though, that is not how respectable companies function. Your car should only be driven on and off the transport truck and certainly not taken for a joy ride around the city! In fact, the truck drivers loading your car onto the truck are extremely careful and go out of their way to ensure your vehicle is safe. Take this customer video for instance. This 1994 Toyota Corolla was shipped from Alabama to New Jersey. When it arrived safely in New Jersey, the truck driver was very careful in driving it off the truck.
As you can see in the video, the tracks on the truck aren’t 100 percent connected. They need to be like this so the driver can adjust the height and position of the vehicles once they are on the truck. However, it can make loading and unloading vehicles a bit more difficult. That is why this driver takes his time as he drives the Corolla off the truck.
Once the car is safely off the truck, the owner takes some time and inspects the outside of the vehicle for any damages. This is one of the most important aspects of the delivery.
Take a look at the video below to see how a car shipping delivery actually goes.
